Projects from Curacao, the Northern Antilles

This class began with a 12 day field experience before the spring semester, followed by a semester of lecture, student research, and seminar discussion revolving around Curacao.  Topics included plate tectonics, volcanism, geomorphology, sea level and climate change, tropical reef and arid-landscape ecosystems, natural resource development, and other physical geographic themes. Cultural, economic, and land-use themes are also incorporated.
